Brenda Biederman

Diana Bolander

Diana was born in Joliet, IL and raised in Midland, MI.  She went to college in-state at Michigan State University before leaving the area for a time to study in Eugene, OR at the University of Oregon.  Traverse City has been her home since January of 2006.  Diana has come to appreciate the local community for the value it places on arts and culture as well as the importance it places on the preservation of the beautiful lakes and fresh air that make the area landscape so picturesque. She is part of a tight knit family, including her brother, sister, mother and father and is the proud aunt of an entertaining pair of one-year-old twins, Rachel and Charlie. As the Curator of Education and Interpretation at the Dennos Museum Center, Diana is responsible for public and K-12 programming at the Museum as well as managing 50 or more volunteer tour docents.  She also volunteers with the Duola program at the Women’s Resource Center and with VSArts Grand Traverse.  Diana is looking forward to her role as judge for SwingShift and the Stars because it will be a fun way to help out in the community.
