Raised in Cadillac, MI, Lou has been a part of the Northern Michigan community his entire life. Now in his 16th year of living in Traverse City, Lou appreciates the area for the beautiful water, changing seasons and most of all, for the accepting, easy-going people that live in this community. Lou and his wife Karen are the proud parents of 10 kids, 2 boys and 8 girls, 7 of which were adopted from one of the SwingShift and the Stars Charities, Bethany Christian Services. Lou is known in town as the pastor at Christ United Methodist Church, his wife Karen serves as the musical director when not busy managing a house full of kids! Lou is excited to be representing Safe Harbor, a program that provides shelter for local homeless in the winter months, because his church is one of many churches throughout Traverse City that contribute to this cause by opening their doors 2 weeks annually to house those in need. He was also part of the founding team to bring Bethany Christian Services to the community, and with 7 adopted children through the organization, he feels a special tie to their cause. Lou’s wife believes he can’t dance, so he is looking forward to proving his talent, while raising money for all of the wonderful SwingShift and the Stars charities.
