Born in Duluth, MN and raised in Northern Illinois, Richard is no stranger to long winters and has come to enjoy living in Northern Michigan for the beautiful summers. He is the proud father of two children, Madeline age 10 and Mikey age 7. For his 9 to 5 job, Richard is the Production Manager for Cherry Republic and in his spare time he teaches dance.
As a dance instructor, it seemed a natural fit for him to participate in his first season with SwingShift and the Stars, he also received a little encouragement from event organizers! Richard is looking forward to giving back to the community through this unique dance competition.
