Traverse City has been home to Mel for the better part of the last 33 years. He has been happily married to Nancy, the love of his life for 32 years and they have been blessed with eight children and twelve grandchildren so far. Mel and Nancy started dancing in the late 70’s and have taken many lessons, competed and have even taught from time to time.
Mel is employed as a Senior Geologist with the State of Michigan. After attending SwingShift events last year and being a guest judge, Mel is excited and honored to be a part of this fantastic, fun-filled local event to raise money for the many worthy charities.
