Kristina Nichols

Kristina was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and her first experience in Traverse City was in the early 90’s as a dance and theater student at Interlochen Arts Camp and then Academy. She made Traverse City her home in 2001 accepting a position at Interlochen teaching dance and working in administration. She loves Traverse City for the appeal of a small town and vacation destination, yet with enough size and culture to make it still feel like a city. Kristina has been married to Brett for three years and they have two incredible children Grace (1) and Jackson (2).

Kristina keeps busy singing with SwingShift, performing and choreographing with the Old Town Playhouse and spending time with her two little ones. She also teaches classes for Studio S Fitness. Kristina is excited for this season of SwingShift and the Stars after seeing what amazing things this event has done for local charities over the past two seasons. She is excited to see all of the hard work that the participants put into this event and the hard work the community puts into it by seeing shows, casting their votes and donating to some very worthy charities in our local area.
